ABOUT OUR ACADEMY

Professor Forrest Allen is a 2nd degree black belt with 15 years of Jiu-Jitsu experience. Forrest began his martial arts journey in 2009 in Guillobel Brazilin Jiu-Jitsu and Fight Strong MMA in San Clemente, California. In December of 2017, Forrest received his black belt from Professors Adam Watts and Master Ali Saleh of Checkmat. Shortly after Forrest Received his black belt, he returned to his home town of Bayfield, Colorado and is very happy to finally be able to bring martial arts to the community that means so much to him.

Coach DJ started wrestling at a very young age, throughout school and the U.S. Army. His martial art training began during his deployment to Iraq in 2006. He became a hand to hand fighting instructor in the Army and has competed in the military as well as MMA fighting on the civilian circuits. Coach DJ has a Bachelors Degree in Health and Sports Science and is a POSE Method of Running Certified Coach . His passion for teaching and coaching is evident with every class. 

Rodrigo started BJJ when he was 12, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In Brazil, Rodrigo trained with Ryan Gracie Pirituba and with Professor Guga Fraga. In 2021 Rodrigo moved to L.A. still as a brown belt. In L.A. he was also training with his good friend Guilherme Bomba from Gracie Barra. Guilherme graduated Rodrigo to black belt with the authorization of Guga Fraga back in Brasil. After 2 years Rodrigo decided to move to Bayfield, Colorado with his  family. 

After graduating in 2019 Danny was ready for a new challenge and that is when he discovered Jiu-Jitsu and Professor Forrest.  After a few years of training Danny was awarded his blue belt by Professor Forrest, and continues to train and teach at Elevated Martial Arts.
